LES ARDENTES

We'll be in Liège on Saturday, July 8, at a new festival called "Les Ardentes"! Our friends from Zita Swoon will also be playing. See you there!

On Saturday, December 18, don't miss Magnus at Ancienne Belgique's "Exit 2004" end-of-the-year party, with Stijn, The Go! Team, Vive La Fête, Milanese (Warp Records) and Millionaire side-project Radio Infinity!

ANDALUCIA CONTEST

There's a new contest running at dEUS.be until July 31! You can win one of 12 prizes related to "Andalucia Personal: A Different Guide", an alternative touristic guide to Andalucia written in cooperation with En Frente Arte (the hotel run by former dEUS manager Filip Eyckmans). Prizes include (among others) free access to the launch party of the guide (August 5), featuring a bus trip to Rotterdam, a boat party to Antwerp, with performances by Vive La Fête, La Squadra Bossa and... CHANGED DATES

The DJ set planned in Apeldoorn is cancelled! It might be rescheduled later. And Magnus won't make Lowlands sweat on August 22, but the night before, August 21st! That's because Tom plays with dEUS in Istanbul on the 22nd).

SUMMER'S HERE ON VINYL

Summer's Here is now available on vinyl! The 12" features Headman and Buscemi's remixes, and Jumpneedle gets facelifted by The Glimmers. There's also a Summer's Here CD single in the Netherlands now, with the radio edit, the instrumental version, the Magnus remix and the video.

FILMFESTIVAL DU FILM
Next Friday at midnight, Magnus will perform a DJ set at Café Belga/Flagey, on the first day of the "Filmfestival du Film", the Brussels European film festival. Check out www.fffb.be for the program!

THE BODY GAVE YOU EVERYTHING
European release 29th March

Magnus is the creation of Tom Barman - heart and soul of Antwerp rockers dEUS - and CJ Bolland - DJ-producer and key figure in the international techno scene. The debut album of Magnus, The Body Gave You Everything, will be released on Epitaph's Anti label in the whole of Europe excluding Belgium and The Netherlands.

The Body Gave You Everything was recorded over a period span of 3 years, with contributions from people such as Mauro Pawlowski (Evil Superstars), Tim Vanhamel (Millionaire), and Angelique Willkie (Zap Mama). During that period Tom Barman has worked as a writer and director for the movie 'Any way the Wind Blows', which will be shown in European movie houses this spring. One of the tracks on the album, 'Summer's Here', is the leading track in Barman's movie.

The Body Gave You Everything is released with a bonus DVD featuring the videos for the tracks French Movies, Summer's Here and Jumpneedle. All three videos are directed by Tom Barman.

Tom Barman and CJ Bolland will embark on a DJ tour in some of the major European cities. French Movies, the first single from the album will be released in spring.
